We haven’t been in our hiding place for long. We are waiting, carefully camouflaged behind a hedge in the midst of the spruce forest. A wild animal has left the tracks that led us here. Was it a deer? Or a fox? Certainly not a dragon. Because they are extinct – or are they?
Let’s just wait, perhaps we’ll see it. We have to be quiet. Very, very quiet! Don’t move – what was that? A strange sound breaks the silence. We could only see something out of the corner of our eyes. Nothing specific. Too bad, because now it’s scurried away. It was probably a small deer. Or was it a dragon?

Well, if we wait a little longer, we are sure to see other animals: foxes, squirrels or even our bear Pino… So now we have to watch, creep about and read the tracks.

A mouth-watering wander through the woods!
A walk through the woods in the heart of the breathtaking countryside of South Tyrol together with Ella and Max, leading lights of the Familienhotels Südtirol Nature Programme. Our child carers, who are professionally trained nature educators, will be leading young hunters on a stroll through the woods to forage for wild plants and herbs before preparing and sampling their finds… Mmmm, what an adventure! Our woods and, above all, our annual theme of “Naturally Good – Cooking and Eating with Ella and Max,” have so much to offer, and will provide the keen-eyed foragers with endless unforgettable memories of magnificent days in the countryside. Start looking forward to it – it’s going to be exciting!

Perhaps this exciting journey of discovery, where children can make full use of their curiosity and their urge to get out and about, will even lay the foundations of a lifelong love for nature.
The Nature programme is offered all year round. It can be booked as an inclusive special at no extra cost. All that kids need is good clothing and sturdy footwear, as well as a large dose of curiosity and a wish to discover things.

And who knows, there may still be one or two dragons to be found in Rasen-Antholz…
